Getting lazy...

...or just nursing a bad hangover. Owwwww!

One of my subordinates is leaving for a Police Officer job in Mesa, AZ. We had a party at a nearby bar. My boss - who's bought some of the drinks - pushed some (ahem!) to drink too much last night. I felt like crap after I left, but had a good time.

On top of that, I had another interview this afternoon in DT Evanston. Now waiting for word tommorow if I get the next interview or not next week. I feel good about this job and hoping to the next step.

I pushed my run this week to tommorow. I hope that the weather cooperates. We have a 6 mile run this weekend - the last one before North Shore HM.

The warm weather is finally coming. Yayy!

Weekend full of fun.....and a RACE!

Bloggers, this is going to be a very fun weekend. It has already started off on a high note (until I woke up this morning). Josh and I headed off to a friend's birthday party last night. Before we went off to eat and drink to our heart's content, I headed off to the gym to crank out 3 miles. We were supposed to run 5 miles, but my legs were not feel all so great and did not want to push it before the 5K we have on Sunday morning.

Friday's run
3 miles
35:01
11:40/mile

Then it was off to the party, which started at a Turkish restaurant. The sangria was flowing at the beginning and then the hard liquor came out where the fun really began. We dined with a lot of good friends. The food was very good. For one night, our diet went out the window, but ate very good for lunch to prepare for this. Then it was off to the after party at her house where the shots were poured and consumed. We ended up leaving at 2 AM and headed home on the Red Line (only 2 stops away) to come home and were out cold once in bed.

That's before the nasty hangover came. Nothing for Josh, but it hit me a little harder even though I drank water all afternoon before the party and in between drinks.

Our weekend does not end here. Yes, I am really relaxing right now, but I have a group party at Sushi Mura. Tomorrow morning is the Bucktown 5K. I am going to have fun at this race. We got our race packet yesterday. We got an awesome sweatshirt and running cap.

Race recap will come tomorrow.
