Pressing on....
...with the move.
Another room - a BIG closet done. Two rooms done. 4 more to go.
1 PT session down.
Hurt like HELL. I felt much better BEFORE the session. Damn IT band massage.
UGH!
10 days until the big move.
3 more days until Josh arrives here to help me out and see my big hometown.
I told my kids the news on Sunday and was very hard to do. It did not come without any tears. My daughter's excited to come visit Chicago especially after she received her new baby doll last night from American Girl. (But I think she's geographically challenged right now. Need to work on that.) My son will take some time to get digest the information since he's a little bit older. I will allow him to the time, but I got some outside help to assist me with him. I hope it helps. But he did like his new Sony PSP (I am an awesome mom!) They get to meet Josh on Sunday when I pick them up from their dad's house. We are still working on the details of the fun day.
I finally met my mom's boyfriend last night, along with my kids. He's nice, but like my kids will be feeling, it will take some time to get used to it. I am in their shoes right now so I know how it feels to meet someone else that's not your dad. How ironic! I know that my mom's happy right now. At the same time, I miss my dad and the feelings are still fresh right now.
Back to work for me. 6 work days left for me. Work is a little bit a refuge right now and gives me time to rest....and work on my homework.

I was definitely noting the generational thing going on. I know you are a smart gal, but definitely stay tuned in to your kids. They will need you.
That is a lot of change going on at the same time for everybody. GL with all of it, and I echo Wes on this one...keep talking to your kiddos. Peace to all of you!
It really is a lot to suddenly have coming on. I think just looking to sell my house and buy new in the same area is a lot!! Oh, and I should be around this weekend. I took the next week off at B&N...although a part of me was thinking about going to my parents, now that my house is listed, I won't be needing to work on it so much...although there are things I could do...

Congrats on your decision to move to Chicago (I'm a little behind, and I just did some catch-up reading here)! Now, you'll not only be close to Josh, but you'll also be in the best running city (so I hear)! Too cool!
But, will you change your blog-handle to IL Firefly? Or Chi-Town Firefly?
