Still waiting....

Yes, peeps. It's been 14 weeks now and I am STILL waiting for the results from my last law school application from my #1 choice. I am not anxious right - more annoyed than anything. I thought I would hear from them by now. The sad truth is that orientation is on August 17th and want to make sure that I am financially ready for starting law school upon acceptance. I can not do ANYTHING until I accepted.

**sigh**

I even broke down today and called the Admissions Office to check on the status of my application. Their answer - NO DECISION YET.

Well, I am now back to waiting again.

Contact their admissions. There's nothing wrong with asking what the timeline is for their consideration. And if orienatation is in August, they should have already made their decisions.

Having been through this (albeit many years ago) what has happened is that a first round of acceptance letters has already gone out. The bad news is you didn't make the first cut. The good news is you didn't get rejected. Since many applicants accept more than one offer, admissions is now waiting for people to release their spot (because they have gotten accepted elsewhere). As those seats open up, more letters go out. There is this whole domino effect. Some law schools establish official wait lists, others just keep people waiting. Two of my classmates literally got notified the day before classes began that seats had opened up. Hang in there! Feel free to email me if you want more unsolicited information. :-)
