Pre-Race Prep Day

Well, I am not running North Shore does not meet that I do not have to do some pre-race prep work. Spectating is a serious work! Josh met me at the bike shop when I dropped my bike off for some tune-up work. We headed to Running Away Multisport to pick my swag bag for the race even though I will not be running. We met our friend, Shea, there since he was coming into town to run North Shore with Josh.

While I was there, I bought myself a new pair of shoes. I was informed by my podiatrist on Tuesday to ditch my Nike Air Structure shoe, which was partially responsible for the PF pain in my left foot. I ended up with a pair of new Saucony Progrid Omni 7. It's my second brand switch, but hopefully it will be worthy switch. When I ran on the treadmill with them, I had NO pain in my left foot. It was heaven on my feet. I actually felt support in my heel, which I really need right now.

After the packet pick-up and shoe shopping, we headed off to the Handlebar Bar & Grill for some good vegan lunch. I ended up having vegan biscuits and gravy with fried plantain and a bloody mary. It was very yummy!

Please wish Josh and Shea good luck tommorow when they run a very warm race tommorow morning. The weather is a little dicey right now so who knows.

Huh, that's weird that you were told the shoe was part of it as I have run in those for years...but you just never know do you?

Hope you love your Saucony's as much as I do! I did the switch from Mizuno to Saucony in March and I don't think I could ever go back!

Good luck to the dudes!!!

I loves me some vegan lunch!!! Hooray compassionate eating :-P.
