Nothing new....

...just the same old. The right knee has had its moments, but all I can do is rest (which I HATE doing) and wait. I have an appointment with the chiropractor next Monday. But I do plan to talk to my regular doctor about my knee if it does not resolve itself by next Friday when I have an appointment set up. The accupuncture did not hurt at all. I have had it done SO many times since November that it does not bother me anymore, but most of the time I am lying on my stomach and getting it done on my lower back and neck because he's working my hips and lower back. Well, back to the same old. I wish I was running or doing some other cardio instead.

Well, though you hate it, you are smart to give that knee a rest, but you know that!

GL getting through it!!

That sucks your knee is still hurting.  I'm glad you'll be getting it checked out again soon.

But on the bright side, you still have nearly 2 months until the Shamrock Shuffle.  That's more than enough time to work your way back.  In the meantime, rest little Firefly.

Seeing those pins in your knees was frightful! Unfortunately, blogger wasn't cooperating. Keep your chin up! You need to have healthy knees!

Take advantage of your hiatus and try to enjoy the break from running. And when you return to it, you'll feel refreshed!

I hope your knee feels better soon. Once you can be more active again, you will feel more like yourself.

All I can say, while waiting to see the dr, ice, ice baby...keep icing it. I've had some tinges, but I ice and everything seems better. If you have a pool option, try some cross training and hey, if it doesn't bother, try some water running...Advanced Marathoning actually has some documentation of runners not losing any cardio if they do the right type of water running.

I try to enjoy the downtime by remember all the other things I can now do with that extra hour or two in the day. Like read or reflect without guilt.
