Thank you, everyone!

A negative attitude is like a flat tire. You’re not going far until you change it. - Anonymous I want to say thanks to everyone who responded Saturday's blog entry regarding my bad last long run. I feel a little bit better tody, but was hoping to do the full marathon. It is better than not doing it at all. I spend the Christmas holiday with family both days. I was very sore on Christmas Eve and could not walk straight because of the tightness in my right leg. I put myself in the hot tub at my apartment clubhouse for 15 minutes, which really, really helped to loosen the muscles up. Plus it helped to relax me mentally as well. I did a TON of stretching during both of those days. I am still tight in the right leg a little bit, but it's much more manageable. I did have an appointment with the chiropractor this morning, which REALLY helped to readjust the hips and my legs along some good accupuncture too. After my chiropractor appointment, I headed to the gym where I did a little bit of cross-training on the eliptical machines. I spent the time on the eliptical machine. I felt that my legs were still very tired, even after two days of rest. This is a time to take it easy now, which I will allow my legs to do so. It is a VERY quiet day at work. It's considered an university holiday, which I was not aware of. I thought it was on Friday. So I get to be paid DOUBLE time today, which I will not complain of. It's just a lot of time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Tommorow will be another easy 30 minute cross-training day until I get the legs loosen up and then head on the treadmill for 3 miles, which I might do on Thursday. Today's work-out 40 minutes - Eliptical 3.98 miles 452 calories burned 10:03/mile

i think you are playing it very smart and i know it's tough but you ARE making a wise decision about PF Chang considering the circumstances of your past and recent injuries.

Whoo-hoo, double pay! That's a nice little Christmas present. Last night I was at the wine bar across the street from ST, and I noticed how much parking space was available on the street. I figured school was out.

Have you ever tried pool running? It's supposed to be a great way to train when you're recovering from an injury. There's no impact, just running in the water. Do you have access to an indoor pool?

I'm glad your bloggy friends were able to cheer you up a little bit. That's what we're here for!

I am so sorry I didn't have time to meet you when I was in the Twin Cities. I spent three night there but was never there for a full 24 hours at a time, that's how crazy my travel schedule was.

I am sure we will have other opportunities in the future.
