One down and One more to go!

Well, the weather cooperated with me. I woke up on time this morning. I ran a little bit late to get going with the group, but I was able to catch up. There was times that I was running alone or with the group. The hills were KILLING me because there was too many of them during the run. I personally think they slowed me down quite a bit. I had to cut my run short by a 1/2 of a mile because my calves and quads were very tight and such pain. I am not too happy with the pace. I know that I could have done MUCH better. But it was a perfect day to run. Now all I ask is that next week's run be the SAME way. No snow. No cold with the sun shining. Tommorow's a well deserve rest day and with Monday being a cross-training day to loosen up the legs. Today's work-out 13.41 miles - Outdoor running 2:15:15 10:05/mile - **sigh** it's okay, but nothing like last week.

That's still a very good pace. And yay, you changed your profile pic! You look different and pretty!

Yes, we'll have to start thinking about the pre-race get together. When I feel better in the next couple of days...I will send you some ideas. After consuming spoiled meat...I don't feel like thinking about food. haha

Your performance was fantastic, especially considering the hilly course.  The stage is set for an even better long run next weekend.

I'm continuously amazed at how efficient you are in your marathon training.  Your leg pain will be worth it and your discipline rewarded when you totally rock PF Chang.

HOW SPICY WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR CHANG SAUCE?!!

Nice job! I would be plenty happy with 10:05/mile! pat yourself on the back!

Great job!!! I can't believe you are doing those kinds of miles in the Winter. Don't be down on yourself--you're doing great!

Yea, what Stacy said. That is a really good pace for that distance. Don't sell yourself short. Persevere!

10-minute pace after such a injury-prone season sounds pretty darn good to me, kiddo. Enjoy the rest day.

Isn't it nice that we've had the nice weather for training too? Heck, if I had known it would be this nice, I might have contemplated a winter marathon! It's too bad you weren't near Jamba for the refuel after.

Hey... for a run that length, that's a very admirable pace!

There's lots to be said for slower training....fat burning!! And you'll come back stronger in the next shorter distance.

Oh the weather was such a special treat over the weekend. I just wish it would last--people were running outside in shorts!! Well, at least we had it...cuz soon real winter will set in!

Keep up the great work!

As much as it sucks, I think you made the right decision with moving down to the half. Not many folks are brave enough to listen to their bodies...you're going to come out of this on top--without injury--and you've let nobody down. So please don't be so hard on yourself!

Just think...you've been saving all this injury for the full, and now that you're running the half you can really push yourself to go balls to the wall...I bet if you put your mind to it, you can break two hours.

Good luck!

ps...your shirt is neat!
