It's a miracle....

Okay, RBF friends. Mark this one on your calenders. My husband broke his dry spell at the gym of 207 days (more or less - can not tell right now!) Yes, that's an accomplishment all in itself. The reason behind breaking the dryspell is sad, but he FINALLY made it in the gym without me nagging him about. YAYYYY! Well, this event did not come along without a huge fight before going to the gym. And.....we did not go to the gym together. I headed out to Bally's...alone. He headed to the gym in the community clubhouse....alone. **sigh** My tummy was acting up, which slowed me down from heading to the gym sooner as I planned. (Damn crunches from yesterday!) Well, when I arrived at the gym, my favorite eliptical machine (and a little more ankle friendly) was not available. In fact, it was not working. UGH! I ended up going on the next best thing so I can at least get my cardio work-out done. I spent 45 minute on the eliptical (6 of those I was not able to record all of my workout information because I pressed the wrong button, which caused the reset. UGH!) Then I stretched before heading home. When I got home, he apologized for his behavior (while I give him "the look"). Then I showered and headed out to work. Tommorow's a rest day so I can attend my doctor's appointment for my ankle/foot issues. UGH! On Thursday, depending on Wednesday's appointment, I will headed to the gym for more cross-training and weight lifting. Today's work-out 40 minutes (plus another 6 minutes or so) - Eliptical machine 3.28 miles 355 calories burned 12:11/mile - OH VERY ICK!

Not the look! Anything but the look! When my wife gives me the look, you can basically say I is cooking for myself and the two monsters tonight. Wait a minute, I always cook for myself and the monsters. Anyway, ditto on your shoe. They is awesome : )

12:11/mile is just fine.  Especially for a sore tummy.

BTW, I just looked at the timstamps on some of your posts and comments on other blogs, and I think we keep the same crazy hours.  But I know you also work in the daytime.  Do you ever sleep?

The "Look". Every woman had one, every man fears it!! Good luck at the doc.

It would take a miracle to get my husband to the gym. He says the only reason he'd run is if a monster was chasing him; he and I are so very different when it comes to exercise.

Oh I can totally relate. My hubby is so damn thin, he really doesn't need cardio...but we pay a fortune for our gym membership and I want to smack him when he doesn't go!! :)

I love "the look"

You must be a creature of habit too... workouts just never feel "right" when I'm not on "my" ET or treadmill! Hope the doc has good news!
