Oh, Ice and Epson salt...how I LOVE thee!

Yes, ice and epson salt are my friends. They helped me along my running journey. I have used them when I feel a little sore after a strong run. I have advised many of your fellow bloggers to use it too when you are feeling really funky. It has gotten me through a lot of tough injuries. I have thank both forms of relief to get me stronger over the past year and more. Today was another awesome run. The weather was perfect. It was a little cooler in the beginning of the run than I expected, but still good. The sun was out and the skies were clear. I decided to go outside along Mississippi River Blvd and W. River Road between Lake Street and Ford Parkway. I started out very strong during the beginning of the run. I had a lot of hills in the beginning on the Mississippi River Blvd towards Lake Street. I took care of them and left it in the dust. The downward route on W. River Blvd was very nice. I did not like inhaling all of the dust from the crunched up leaves, but what can you do. I almost thought I was lost when I reached Ford Parkway and ran up those stairs to cross the bridge. I was a perfect time to grab some sport beans and water while I quickly thought it over. I then realized I was right after visualizing the map. Before I completely crossed the Ford Parkway bridge, I took those beautiful pics that I posted already. Then I ran by to my starting spot. I felt good afterwards, but I knew that my left hip flexor needed some major adjustment (attitude - mostly!) at my chiropractor's office. After the adjustment, I felt SO loose and good. Thank goodness! Tommorow's a rest day before my 11 miler on Saturday. I am testing with a police agency in the morning. I hope to do well and get some positive results this time. Today's work-out 6.10 mile run ( I am counting the stairs!) 1:02:32 10:15/mile 632 calories burned!

That's a great run! It amazes me that you can run six miles and burn 600+ calories, and I can run six miles and burn 800+ calories :-) That's what you get for being so skinny! LOL. Good luck on your test.

Awesome run and the weather is great. Summer in the fall!! Sounds like this is the last weekend for it. Get out and enjoy it!! On a sad note, sounds like the last weekend for the twins. Keep you fingers crossed.

Good luck on the test...I know what you mean about it feeling a bit cooler yesterday. I'm running at lunch again today and hoping I can go in shorts and short sleeves, but we'll see.
