Day 1 of 2: Rest days!

Well, I did get the 7 miler done yesterday on the eliptical machine. But I decided to take the day off today - one due to the lack of time and my knees were giving a lot of pain last night. It was SO bad that I HAD to take an epson salt bath. It felt SO good. I did e-mail my chiropractor who wrote back with some suggestions and even offering to set up for cushion orthotics at my next appointment. I am seriously thinking about doing it. I know that I almost due for new shoes sooner than later. Tommorow's another rest day due to the fact that I am getting my hair done in the morning. It will be good to do because I have 5 mile race on Saturday AM....in the RAIN/SNOW?! Ugh! Please bring the sun out soon!

yikes, sore knees and a snowy race do not go together well. I'd check out the orthotics. Might help! Good LUCK!

Good luck with your 5 mile race tomorrow. I'm a big fan of Epsom Salt baths. Do you know what's causing your knees to hurt so much? Are you stretching your IT band? If the pain is on the outside of your knee, it could be the IT band. I hope the orthotics help.

Dori, the pain on the bottom of the knee and hitting the patella. **sigh** I have been stretching like crazy. A trail run will be a huge help for me.
