Buh-bye Mr. Crutches....

....but Ms. Air Cast will still have to stay. I AM FREE! FREE! Well, almost free, I still have to the air cast on until I am completely pain free. I get the moments after walking too much that the muscle cramp up. Not good. Two Advil later, I feel a little bit better. Thank goodness! Tommorow morning, I will be with my Team in Training buddies, but NOT RUNNING. :( I will be helping with the water stops and making sure that they are fueled up. Thank goodness that I can just get up and go without prepping for a run. Note: I will counting down to the days towards my Recommitment goal, which is on November 1st. Please bear with me until then! Its purpose is to keep me focused. Thank you! I am getting closer to my recommitment goal. Down to $383. Many thanks for those who just donated: Spandex-King and Kurt. You are both awesome!! Every little bit count right now. I just finished my letter to the Applebee's near my house so I can formally get a pancake fundraiser in progress, if I can make recommitment. I will say this again. I will NOT give up!! I am not a quitter. I am going to let my campaign to help people like my dad go down the tubes! I am going to survive!! (Cue the Gloria Gaynor music...now!) This is HUGE sports weekend for me. Tonight may be the end of the World Series for the Detroit Tigers. (Yes...I will turn into the big jinx for them...or maybe not.) I am NOT even going to watch or keep track of the MN Gophers tommorow when they get their ASS kicked by Ohio State. But I will be tracking my beloved Colorado Buffies as they do some very good playing against the Kansas Jayhawks (I totally apologize at any RBF member(s) that I offend because they are a fan or know someone who's a fan due to my TOTAL love for my Buffies. I can already name THREE..or more.) Plus on Sunday, my AWESOME, AWESOME Colorado Avs will be playing the Minnesota Wild. Yes, the picture looks VERY wrong here. I live in Minnesota, but rooting for Colorado. Well, just to keep you warned, my household will be very UGLY come Sunday evening in front of the TV while watching both teams play. It will be husband (The Wild Fan!) vs. wife (the Awesome Avs fan!). It's the 2nd game of the 5 game series throughout the season. Unfortunately, I am 0-1 so far, but I am look forward to a comeback because I know that there's hope. Before I forget, I want to wish all of the marathoners who will running the Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday - Michelle, Jeanne, and Danielle (who will be calling me once she finishes for a full race report.) I also will wish those who are running in the Detroit Marathon - Mouse and Sunshine. I also want to wish Dori lots of luck as she run the Big Sur 1/2 marathon on Sunday. I also want to wish Rae and her hubby, Brent, luck tommorow at 4-H Old Mulkey Classic. You all will do great!! You all ROCK!

YAY FOR DITCHING THE CRUTCHES.

And...as long as the Jayhawk bashing doesn't get out of hand, I won't need to beat you with them. :) I keed, I keed!! (Or do I?)

And for the record...off the top of my head, I can think of 7 Jayhawk fans, along with 1 little blogger from K-State who will one day see the light...

Glad the crutches are gone, keep taking it slow in your recovery. And CONTINUED good luck in meeting that TIT fundraising goal. You are in striking distance!

So glad to hear you don't need the walking sticks any more. That's a "big step" in the right direction.
