This Firefly needs a little love...

...and a little bit cheering from my support section. I have my 12 miler tomorrow. I will admit that I am little nervous as I sit here and type while eating a plate-ful of fetteccine alfredo (which I do not recommend for everyone especially the week of the marathon - I just seem to do well with it and very HUNGRY.) The last time I did this was a year ago where I ran/walked the distance. This time I am RUNNING the whole thing tomorrow. I know that I can do it. I was nervous about 9 miler about 2 weeks ago, but I did it. I am PRAYING for the sun to just come out and NO MORE RAIN. I even bought myself a new running shirt to wear for good measure. I did not run yesterday. Instead of running, I took a 1 1/2 hour NAP because I was very tired. So tired that I was falling asleep in the car (No, I was not driving..thank you!) I was up very early with little sleep for a CT scan that the lung doctor wanted to just be safe. Firefly became VERY sleepy during the test. A large Chai Tea Latte did not conquer my fatigue. Only sleep did. I am not guilty of it because I did over 3 miles on the elliptical machine on Tuesday so I was just moving my rest days. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine today and some weight training. I wait for several hours after I was tortured by my chiropractor. I needed the adjustment, but not the other stuff that I signed for - aka pressure point maintenance - which really hurt while it was done. Damn sciatica nerve! My legs feel a little bit looser now and will help me tomorrow too. I talked to a TCM marathoner at Target this afternoon while I was shopping for the new shirt. She asked me where I am from. I told her that I was from her. I wished the gal good luck for Sunday. She thanked me. Well, the TWINS won last night and TIED the division. Now we need to hold on and clinch it. Go TWINS!! Today's Work-out 35 minutes - Eliptical machine 3.52 miles 415 calories burned 9:56/mile

Good luck on your 12 miler, but I know you'll do just fine--trust me.

I hear you about being tired. I'm glad you are listening to your body and trying to get that extra sleep it sounds like you need!

I think naps are very important for training -- VERY important. Can't wait to hear how the 12 miler went! If you can do 12, I guess I can do 10.

You will do fine - your training has been awesome and you are ready for this. And naps are a very important part of training - do not blow that off!
