Remembering 9/11

...and it's 5 year anniversary. It's a day that I will not forget. It's this day that increased my need and interest in law enforcement. It was in my blood because of my father's involvement as a firefighter and being around law enforcement all of the time. I was pregnant at the time with my youngest child. I was glued to the TV like everyone else. I have friends in NYC so I e-mailed them all and asked them to either IM me or reply back so I could breathe a sigh of relief. I hope many of you have prayed today for the victims and their families, including the members of FDNY and NYPD - who are my brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement. Pray to the members of the military too - including my baby brothers, who has already did a tour of duty in Iraq. They are reason that our freedoms are free. Now to the subject of running..... FIREFLY'S BACK...and FEEEEELING good! I did my 3 miles on the treadmill today. My legs felt SOOOOO good! I was FLYING on the treadmill. The legs were SO loose and relaxed. I just wished that I kept the speed to the 12:45/mile mode instead of going up to 12:00/mile. I started to lose my good feeling with less than a mile to go. It's something that learned for tommorow. I LOVE my new NB 767's!! They felt so good! Tommorow's 4 miles and then back down to 3 miles on Wednesday. I will be using the treadmill again tommorow just to make sure I feel good. It's still really gray and icky outside. I hope the sun makes an appearance tommorow. Vikings are playing tonight. I will watching the game...and having a few munchies. Go VIKES go!! Today's work-out 3 miles - run (treadmill) 38:02 12:40/mile

Awesome job on the running. I'll bet you were like a thoroughbred waiting to spring from the gates! Way to get it done. :)

Glad to see you are back at it! It gives me motivation to both *wait* to heal and to keep up with cross training so I am strong when I get back out there!
