Rain, rain...are you ever going to go away?

It has been VERY dark and dreary over the past week. With the clouds, the rain has here and there during the majority of the time. It has really affected my mood and tired of it. It's so hard to get out of bed in the morning because it's so dark outside. I saw a little bit of sun yesterday, but it went back into hiding today. Oh pooh! I was able to get my 8 miles in today. I was up by 8:45 am, even though my alarm was set for 8:30. I got dressed and ate my pre-run meal. I was out the door by 10 a.m. and headed to the gym. Once I got there, I freaked out because it was SO busy and my favorite long run treadmill was being used. I figured that I would start my first 30 minute segment until the treadmill was finished being used, which only took about 13 minutes....yayy! I immediately jumped off - not literately - (which I did not like anyway because there was NO fresh air blowing nearby to keep me nice and cool) and grabbed the treadmill. I got a few stares, but I did not care because people were starting to leave anyway and thin out. The rest of the run was really smooth. My legs and lungs felt really strong. I felt good and loose. After my run was finished, I walked around for a little bit to cool-down and stretched out. I then headed home to take a short nap before heading to work for a long night. Tommorow's a rest day and Monday will be a scheduled 3 miler, which will be brought outdoor if the weather cooperates. Tommorow's also the exciting Viking v. Bears game. I hope the Vikings do very well tommorow. I wish the Twins would get out of the little slump and whoop the Tigers for the division. Today's work-out 8 miles - treadmill run 1:41:09 845 calories burned 12:38/mile

Nice job on the 8 miles! Especially on the Thrillmill! I too, am a little tired of the rain! Atleast today it was sunny and 62 degrees here! But, I didn't take advantage of the nice weather!

Great run! I hope the rain clears up soon. It's amazing what a little sunshine can do for us.

I don't knwo how you go that far on the treadmill. You should get extra credit points for long runs on there.

I got a huge thing of Airborn at Costco, but of course forgot I had it. I didn't get too bad, though. Thanks for the advice. Today it's not raining :)
I have favorite treadmills too....and I think there's one at the gym that is permanently set on a 1.0 incline (despite it saying 0.0) yeah...it was the only one available on tues. when I did speed-work this week...ouch.

I am totally impressed that you can stay on the damn treadmill for 8 solid miles. Hope it brightens up for you!

(I tried to post this yesterday, but Blogger comments would NOT cooperate)
