It's a double bag day...

Yup! It was one of those days. But I got my 9 miles DONE. I did it on the treadmill instead on the trail, but it's done! I worked until 3 am and was home in bed by 3:30 am. It took me FOREVER to fall asleep, but I was up and out of bed by 10 am. My kids arrived within minutes. I spend a hour and half with them as I ate and prepped for the 9 mile run. My favorite treadmill was available, which made me VERY happy. I asked the front desk persons to turn to the Vikings, which made me even more happy. It was AWESOME to watch the Vikings and not worry about the time left to finish the long run. My legs also felt good, which really helped. I kept the treadmill at 13:02/mile pace 'cept for first 10 minutes at a slower pace. The long run took a toll on my legs around mile 6 and 7. But I thought of my dad plus one of my upbeat song came on my iPod, which gave me more inspiration to press on. Once I was done, I did a lap or two to cool-down before I stretched REALLY good. I grabbed some lunch for the kids (and husband too) before heading to a convenience store for TWO bags of ice for my ice bag. Yes, I could feel how the run took a toll on my legs. An ice bath was the only option to have a legs to feel good. Right now, I am really very tired as I type and plan to head to bed afterwards. No blog reading tonight, which can wait until tommorow to do. I have 3 recovery miles scheduled to do tommorow. Good night! Today's workout 8.75 (I was CLOSE!) miles - treadmill run 1:52:48 902 calories burned 12:53/mile

Hey, good job. Nine miles on a treadmill-ugh. I ran on Saturday morning and expected rain and thunder the whole time, but I got lucky, weatherwise, and had a great run.

I'm planning on cheering for my friends at TCM. The marathon goes by my house at around mile 2.5, so I was going to go there, then try to see them further on the course. I'd love to cheer along with you at mile 22, if that works out. I'll send you an e-mail.

Great job on the run. I'm sure it was tough with such a late night

9 miles on the treadmill should count for double credit!
