I want to RUN......

.....but my stupid ankle/foot does not want me to. It keeps spilling out vulgur words to me when I walk. I can put weight on it by itself, but no walking for a long time. It seems to want to bend and roll to the right. I don't know what's going on. I will have it looked at when I go for a yearly physical tommorow. UGH!! But I was able to get onto the elliptical machine to very little pain. Thank goodness! I guess I may be doing that for a while until I figure out what's going on. **sigh** I want to go outside. The temps are PERFECT for running. It's NOT fair!! Today's work-out 45 minute - Elliptical Machine 4.28 miles 498 calories burned 10:30/mile

Hey Denise,

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that ankle does not give you too much trouble. If you get bored on the eliptical you could always try pool running, but that's kind of taking a step backwards. Congratulations on passing your test as well.

That elliptical can be a lifesaver when the aches are more of a pain. Good luck healing.

Good idea to cross train until you can get back on the roads. I also wear NB767s--just got a new pair the other day. They are the best! T

Sorry to hear about the ankle! It's better to give it some rest now than a LOT of rest later and have a worse injury!

No, it isn't fair. I hope its nothing serious, but it's best to have the doctor look at it. Keep us posted.

Hang in there, ankles, ugh, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. Be careful (you are), and take care of that ankle. I sprained mine 20 yrs ago and it STILL lets me know who's boss...'

GL--oh, and WTG on all those elliptical miles!

Definitely take it easy, you're early in your training yet, and you have been running regularly, so as long as you keep the cross-training you'll be fine, but if you keep aggrevating it you might be out even longer and you don't want that. I'd definitely talk to a dr about it.
