So happy to be back to "normal"..for now

Well, last night was one night that I had to literately drag myself through the rest of the shift. By 12 midnight last night, my body was BEGGING to go home and into my bed. PLUH-LEEEEZE! Can we go home? I had to do anything else than studying to stay awake. I read blogs for awhile to keep me busy. Then I decided to watch "My Fair Brady: Countdown to the Alter" via the internet for the last hour of my shift. It kept my mind focused and NOT sleepy. When 3 am rolled around, I was SO happy to head home. THANK YOU! I safely made it home in one piece. I took my first dose of my oral asthma med and ate something before crawling into bed. I called my husband and let him know that I was home before I fell asleep. It's a good thing I did because I was OUT within seconds. I was SO sound asleep that I did not feel my husband come home at 7:30 a.m. and crawl into bed to cuddle next to me. I am SO sorry, honey! I was SOUND asleep until 11 a.m. this morning and had a hard time waking up. I just wanted to stay in bed with my hubby. But I could not. I wanted to get a nice 40 minute cross-training session done so I can feel "normal". Ok. Time to listen to my mind. Sorry, sleepy body! I get up, get dressed, and eat some breakfast. I relax until 12:30 and then time to head to the gym. I grab my last bottle of sports drink and drive to the gym. When I get there, I noticed that I felt like I was carrying less baggage to the gym. Textbook to read: CHECK! Sports drink: CHECK iPod....iPod.....OH CRAP - NO CHECK! I forgot my iPod at home. Damn! I can not live without my iPod. What I am to do? But I remind myself that I have a chapter to read today so that should keep my mind busy. Ok. My cross-training workout was good. That's until I realized how much I miss my iPod. I had to two "Pima-donna"'s in the treadmill row next to me. Both tan - seniors in high school - looked like sport slackers. Yup - they are slackers!! They took it very slow on the treadmill - giggling as they attempted to warm-up before the Personal Training session. Very distracting!! UGH! Well, they FINALLY see that they start to leave. THANK GOD! I finally finished my work-out and headed home. Once I am home, I eat some lunch and then head for the showers. Then OFF TO WORK...again. **sigh** Well, the weather is not so great. VERY humid - hard to walk outside because you feel like you are in the Sahara at time and then sometime in the tropics. The weatherguy said that the weather is expected (I HOPE!) to cool down by Tuesday or Wednesday. The heat is SO intense and will not be going away anytime soon. Tommorow's work-out is up in the air. It's 10:40 right now and it's STILL 90 degrees. ICK! If it's still this hot by 8 or 9 a.m, the gym will be calling my name on the treadmill. Ugh! Thanks for the encouragement after these few days. I appreciate it! The meds are slowly starting to work a little bit, but will not know until next week or so. Until next time...

Glad you were able to get some sleep, even if it wasn't enough. I'm like you...I MUST have my Ipod! At least you made it through without.

I just got caught up on the last week's happenings - sorry about the investigator visit, but yay for your hubby's new position! Glad things are starting to get back to normal.

Dude, I totally feel you on trying to keep up to date with the running especially with class(es) in the mix. Keep truckin'. It's always very worth it in the end.
