Rest day

Well, as the title says, today was a rest day - a much needed one indeed. I still had to get up this morning at 7 am for the 2nd out of four days still week. It was a fun day with nothing too hard. I receive a phone call while I was in class from a co-worker, who needed someone to cover his shift on Saturday - when it will be close to 100 degrees. I kindly told him "no" and explained that I could not because of my busy week from hell. (Note: We have an issue at work, where certain management and supervisors do NOT help out with this type of issue. It's not written in our job description to get coverage for days off, as long as you follow the rules.) I could not get into my chiropractor's office today, but I felt 0kay with no pain. But I headed to the grocery store for essentials that I ran out of yesterday. Afterwards, I headed home to just eat lunch and do NOTHING. It felt good to do nothing for once this week. I proceeded to prep for work and headed on my way to work. When I left for work, it was a VERY hot already. THANK GOODNESS I did not run today. Well, I plan on heading the gym for the rest of the week - either on the treadmill or on the elliptical machine. It's going to be a VERY hot weekend.

Way to stick to your guns and say no. That one little word is so hard for me sometimes.

Hope you enjoyed your rest day and that you're getting through the week. The week from hell is almost over!!!!

Doing nothing rocks! Especially when balanced with a crazy, hectic, active lifestyle!!

Wow, I didn't know that it could get that hot in MN!

Must be global warming or does it usually get that stinkin' hot?

Seriously, I don't know how people run in hot climates. Sometimes my husband and I talk about moving to Tennessee and I really wonder if I could ever get used to it. I say, good job staying home when it's hot and saying no to running. No use asking for sun stroke or dehydration, right? :)
