It's a VERY good day in Firefly-land!

Well, I had a several things happen today. First, I had my LEO practical test this morning. It was the LAST morning that I have wake up at 7 am - for awhile. I was originally scheduled to go 7th down the list. That changed when the instructor came up, explained the test, and THEN told the class that I would be one who would be going FIRST. EEEEEK! I was calm as a cucumber until he said that. Well, it was not so bad - actually MUCH easier this time around. No slamming people on the ground this time. Thank GOD! After a quick review and debriefing, I was told that I PASSED!! Now I just have to run around tommorow and Wednesday to get my transcript taken care of before the MN POST exam on August 18th. Second, I got my grade back from my 2nd class this morning (after I got home from the practical). Well.......I got an "A" - missed a 100% by 2 POINTS!! I am very happy. I already checked out my next class that started today - Sociology Research Medology - a Senior level course (and claiming to be a introductionary - whatever!) It's a class with LOTS of papers to write. It will be a challenge that I will meet head on. After I got home and took care of few things, I went to the gym and did some cross-training on the eliptical machine for 45 minutes and did some upper body weight training (and took care of the abs too!) I am going to go for a nap for a hour before riding shotgun in a squad car tonight. Tommorow's going be my running day. It's still hot and humid here - waiting for go away for awhile. I am still trying to catch up my blog reading from yesterday. Today's workout 45 minute - Eliptical machine 4.4 miles 509 calories burned 10:13/mile Upper body and abs weight training

Congrats on passing the test!! I actually enjoy papers more than tests...the humidity might go away at some point! I wish it was gone during the day for running, but was there in the evening when I want to be outside (as it makes it feel warmer!!)...why can't we have perfect weather??
